Roof Inspections

At Rice Coastal Inc., we offer free roof inspections with a detailed written report and photos to give you a clear picture of your roof’s condition. If you prefer not to have anyone on your roof, we can complete the inspection safely using a drone. Whether it’s for routine maintenance or potential damage, we make sure you have all the information you need to make informed decisions.

Roof Inspection Process

Initial Consultation and Scheduling

  • Contact us to schedule a convenient time for your inspection.
  • Discuss any concerns or specific areas of your roof that you want checked.

On-Site Assessment

  • Our professional inspector arrives and inspects your roof, both from the ground and, when necessary, using a ladder or drone for a closer look.
  • Safety measures are taken to ensure a thorough and secure inspection.

Examine Roofing Materials

  • Inspect shingles, tiles, or metal for damage such as cracking, curling, or missing pieces.
  • Check for signs of wear and tear or age-related degradation.

Check Flashing and Seals

  • Assess flashing around chimneys, vents, skylights, and other roof penetrations for corrosion or gaps.
  • Inspect seals to prevent leaks.

Inspect Gutters and Downspouts

  • Examine gutters for blockages, damage, or improper drainage.
  • Ensure downspouts are clear and free of debris for proper water flow.

Structural Evaluation

  • Check for any sagging or signs of structural damage, including rot or weakened areas.
  • Assess attic space for signs of water leaks or mold growth.

Drone Inspection

  • For roofs that are difficult to access, we use drones to capture high-quality images and video for a comprehensive analysis.

Report, Recommendations, and Follow-up

  • After the inspection, you’ll receive a detailed written report with photos of any issues, along with recommended repairs or replacements.
  • We’ll discuss the findings, offer repair options, and provide an estimate.
  • If needed, we schedule repairs or provide advice for ongoing maintenance to prevent future issues.
